Aoife Clancy (pronounced "Eefa") brings a refreshing new voice to folk
music, one that ranges from traditional Irish songs to ballads and
contemporary folk. Aoife comes from the small town of Carrick-on-Suir,
in
Co Tipperary, Ireland, where her musical career began at an early age.
Her
father Bobby Clancy of the legendary Clancy Brothers, placed a guitar
in
her hands at age ten, and by age fourteen was playing with her father
in
nearby pubs.
"Pipeline" features Dermont Hyde on Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low
whistle, small pipes and vocals and Tom Hake on bouzouki, guitar and
harp.
Aoife, Dermont and Tom are in the midst of a tour which is taking them
all
over New England and we're very lucky to have them fall into our midst
on
a Saturday night in Bellows Falls.
August 22: Samirah Evans
7:30
jazz singer par excellence, Samirah Evans and ensemble return to Boccelli's
for
an evening of wonderful music-making.
